I've been wanting to make this for years and finally got around to it!

Day One
Added 8 cups of 2021 sour cherries from our trees that had been frozen and 4 cups of a mixed bag of frozen cherries.

Added two 1.75 L bottles of low cost Brandy. This amounts to almost a 1:1 ratio.

We will let this sit for three months in a glass jar.

Bottled on December 5, 2022
Mix 1/4 cup hot water to 1/2 cup cane sugar.

Add 1 T of the syrup to ever pint of brandy. Test. It should be enough sugar to just take the harsh bite off.

Cover cherries in a quart jar with 1:1 sugar water and refrigerate them. Save for use on ice cream.
